Kathryn (Kathy) Edin a sociologist and Professor at Princeton University, is one of the nation’s leading poverty researchers, researching welfare and work, family life, and neighborhood contexts, through direct, in-depth observations of the lives of families.
Jane Waldfogel a public policy scholar and Professor at Columbia University, is a world authority on policies that affect the well-being of children and families, including paid parental leave, universal preschool, and factors that increase social mobility.
Anna Haskins is a sociologist and Associate Professor at the University of Notre Dame. Her research examines how three of America’s most powerful social institutions—the education system, the family, and the criminal legal system—connect and interact in ways that both preserve and reduce social inequality.
Data Security Pledge
To ensure your privacy and confidentiality, your identity and all personally identifying information will be kept confidential and stored securely. We will keep any information that identifies you separate from the survey data collected. Qualified researchers who work with your responses will never be given your name with any other personally identifying information and will group and report results as a summary, without any names.
There’s another way we protect your information. We have a very important legal document for this study called a Certificate of Confidentiality. This means that we cannot be forced by a court order or subpoena to disclose information that might identify you.
